Alison has been a qualified General Dental Practitioner since 1986, and has many years experience within the local out-of-hours service. One of her interests is in providing all aspects of dental treatment for nervous patients under IV sedation, enabling them to build up their confidence and eventually accept most treatments under local anesthesia.
Bruce qualified in 1978 and has been in general dental practice in Tiverton since 1983. He also has a practice at Holmead, Cullompton, and has been a Vocational Trainer since 1994. He is a member of Devon LDC and with his practice team is actively involved with dental nurse training for the NVQ in Oral Healthcare.
Peter is an Exeter-based general dental practitioner, runs Pinhoe Dental Training for nurses, is chair of NHS Devon’s Oral Health Advisory Group and acts as dental advisor to its Professional Executive Committee. Peter is especially interested in improving the quality of dental services and is chair of a panel which produces and monitors clinical audit for dentists in Devon, Somerset, Gloucester, and Avon.
Chris is also chief executive of Devon Dental’s parent company Devon Doctors Ltd, established as one of the highest quality providers of out-of-hours care in England. He previously held a number of senior NHS managerial and director level provider and commissioning roles.
Mark is responsible for Devon Dental’s operations. He previously held operations manager roles at Devon Doctors, and was responsible for setting up and running Halton Health’s out-of-hours GP service.
Monica looks after the day-to-day running of Devon Dental’s services, utilising her clinical knowledge and close links with the local dental community. She has over 30 years of dental nurse experience, having worked in general practice and the maxillofacial department at the RD&E Hospital in Exeter.
Pauline manages the Devon Primary Link team, which provides call handling expertise and administrative support for local dental healthcare services.
She is responsible for ensuring the team provides a seamless pathway for service users and health professionals. Pauline previously worked for the Bank of Japan in the City of London, gaining a high level of customer service skills.
