GP practices and many pharmacies will be closed from December 24 to December 27 and, again, from January 1 to January 2. Opening times can often be found on the front door or window, alternatively, you could try looking on the internet.

In addition, NHS Plymouth and NHS Devon have produced their own lists of pharmacy opening times, which can be found below. We would, however, recommend phoning in advance of any visit in order to confirm these details have not changed.

If you have an urgent medical problem that cannot wait until your surgery reopens you can call the Devon Doctors' out-of-hours service for the county. Your details will be taken and a clinician will ring you in order to provide the appropriate advice or treatment. Out of hours, Devon Doctors can be contacted on 0845 823 682.

Patients that require urgent dental care outside of normal working hours should contact 01392 823 682.

However, if it is an emergency you should not hesitate to call 999 immediately or to go to your nearest accident and emergency department.
