Devon Doctors' subsidiary Halton Health will cease to provide the out-of-hours GP service in the Halton area of Merseyside as of Thursday, March 21.
For the past seven years, the service, which independent assessors rated one of the best in the country, has been operated by the not-for-profit organisation Halton Health.

Devon Doctors has received a lovely email from a lady whose husband was diagnosed with cancer on Christmas Eve.
The lady wrote: “I just want to say ‘thank you’ to everyone connected with your service.
“My partner was diagnosed with myeloma on Christmas Eve and spent Christmas and New Year in hospital due to kidney involvement and pain control [myeloma bone disease].

Graduate Governance Manager Sarah White is embracing Devon Doctors’ partnership with Devon Wildlife Trust by using the flour produced and sold at its Cricklepit Mill HQ for her baking.
Sarah used a recipe she found on Kirstie Allsopp’s Handmade Britain website to produce some delicious-looking scones. And DWT was so impressed with Sarah’s handiwork that they used the recipe as part of their flour promotion in the run-up to Mother’s Day!
