Treatment Centres

Our treatment centres are based in district general and community hospitals around Devon. They are co-located with emergency departments and minor injury units.

If the GP or nurse feels that you need to be seen and assessed following your telephone consultation they will ask you to attend your local treatment centre.

Like your daytime practice, attending a treatment centre has important advantages over a home visit:

  • More patients can be seen, more quickly
  • Treatment centres are fully equipped and appropriate for a medical consultation / examination
  • Treatment centres are based within hospitals, ensuring quick access to other medical facilities and teams if needed.
Important note: Before attending one our treatment centres it is important that you telephone Devon Doctors on 0845 6710 270 first. This could save you a long wait if the doctor is out seeing patients.
