Dr Mike Slot
Mike is a partner in the Sid Valley practice in Sidmouth. He is on the Devon Local Medical Committee, on the interim board of DART and a member of the Wakley PBC consortium.

EXETER
Dr Ben Leger
Ben is a partner in Southernhay House Surgery in central Exeter. He is also medical director of the Exeter walk-in centres and a GP appraiser for NHS Devon.

NORTH DEVON
Dr Bruce Hughes, MB BS MRCGP  
Bruce is a partner in Fremington Medical Centre in Barnstaple. He is also medical director of Little Bridge House, a branch of Children’s Hospice South West, and takes an active role in representing GPs on the Devon Local Medical Committee.

PLYMOUTH
Dr Andrew Potter
Andy is a partner in North Road West Medical Centre in Plymouth. He is the medical centre’s lead for chemical dependency (and looks after one of the largest populations of addicts in GP care in the city). Andy is also a GP trainer working closely with Navy GP trainers at HMS Drake, and a GP appraiser in the Plymouth area. He examines for entry to GP training in the South West and is the South West Deanery link for GP training in out-of-hours medicine. He works regular out-of-hours sessions at our Plymouth treatment centre.

Peter is a partner in Modbury Health Centre in the South Hams.

TORBAY
Dr Simon Murray
Simon is a partner in Park Hill Medical Practice in Torquay. He has been involved with out-of-hours co-operatives since their inception in 1996 and as a Devon Doctors director since 2004. Simon remains very committed to continuing the high standard of care provided out-of-hours


Executive directors

Chief Executive Chris Wright
Chris was appointed chief executive of Devon Doctors in 2002. Since this time Devon Doctors has seen a 20 fold growth in the size of the business. Devon Doctors has developed a national reputation for excellence in its out-of-hours service as well as a growing reputation in its other developing primary care businesses. Chris has long championed social enterprise as the most efficient and effective means of providing public and community services. He previously held senior manager and director level appointments within the local NHS.

Corporate Services Director Jo Summers
Jo is responsible for the HR, governance, IT and rota functions for the Devon Doctors group. Jo’s management career spans over 20 years and she has worked both in the public and private sector in general management, customer services and HR roles. She joined Devon Doctors in 2009 after graduating as a mature student from the University of Plymouth with a First Class Honours degree in Health and Social Care Management.

Finance Director Colin Strachan
Colin is responsible for the finance for the Devon Doctors group, while fitting in occasional shifts as a Devon Doctors driver.  He previously held directorships in the private sector and is a chartered accountant.  

Medical Director Dr Chris Bastin
Chris provides clinical leadership as medical director for Devon Doctors Ltd and Devon Health Ltd. He works sessions as an out-of-hours GP and as an acute care GP based at the RD&E Hospital. Chris was partner in Seaton & Colyton Medical Practice for 34 years.

Medical Director Dr Mike Richards
Mike provides clinical leadership as medical director for Devon Doctors Ltd and Devon Health Ltd. He is a partner at Albany Street surgery in Newton Abbot, and LMC treasurer and Board member.
