    SOM-0095 Area Coordinator, Taunton

    An exciting opportunity has arisen within the GP Out of Hours Service to recruit an Area Coordinator based at our Taunton Clinical Assessment Centre (CAS).

    This position attracts a competitive pay rate of £10.82 per hour.

    We have a permanent Area Coordinator vacancy within the CAS for 19.67 hours per week on a rolling twelve week weekend rota i.e. the successful candidate will work every weekend. There will be opportunities to work additional hours evenings (at appropriate pay rates) to cover annual leave and sickness.

    The position will involve co-ordinating the calls for Somerset, scheduling treatment centre appointments and liaising with our treatment centre staff and Clinicians to coordinate visits. Working alongside the Somerset 111 service to support with A+E and ambulance validation.

    Successful candidates will be part of a multi-disciplinary team and this is an ideal role for those wishing to start or augment a career in healthcare.

    We are looking for team players who are comfortable working unsupervised, with a positive approach. You should have an excellent telephone manner in order to deliver an outstanding service to our patients. The shift patterns are varied working evenings, overnights and weekends, including Bank Holidays. Candidates must be flexible and able to travel to their place of work during the evenings and weekends.

    Meddcare provides the GP Out of Hours service that covers the County of Somerset and part of the Devon Doctors Group. We are a Social Enterprise and exist to benefit the communities we serve.
