    Health Advisor- Return to practice



    Devon Doctors Ltd are currently recruiting for Health Advisors to work within our 111 service. Our offices are based in the beautiful city of Exeter (we also have offices in Taunton should this be more suited to you).

    If you have previously worked as a pathways trained health advisor in the last 3 years we are now offering a new return to service training, this will involve:

    • 4 Hour self-learning refresher of NHS Pathways Material
    • 1 x 8 Shadow shift
    • Core module 1 assessments
    • 20 Hour Supervised Practice
    • Pass 4 out of 5 Live Audits

    There are full and part time positions available which will include working 3 weekends a month, evenings and overnights as our service runs 24/7 365 days a year.

    About the position:

    NHS 111 is a fundamental part of the Devon Integrated Urgent Care Service (IUCS) which is a non-emergency telephone service providing patient’s advice to the most appropriate urgent care service they require. As a 111 call advisor you will be answering inbound calls from members of the public in need of medical advice. Using NHS pathways script software and alongside your own persuasive skills you will gain information from the caller to assess their situation and guide them to the most appropriate service for them.

    Who we are looking for:

    Successful candidates must have used Pathways in the last 3 years but must also have:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Experience within a customer facing environment
    • Excellent telephone manner
    • A knowledge of the local geographical area
    • A positive attitude
    • The knowledge of skills and own limits.
